Traditionally held on the second Thursday of every October, World Sight Day is meant to highlight the issues that many countries all over the world still have with blindness. In many countries many children and adults still go blind every year even though the root causes of their blindness would have been treatable or avoidable if they were caught early enough.
This day is designed to highlight the lack of resources that can lead to these problems and to publicise them to the developed world in an effort to eradicate these problems in the future. It is estimated that one individual somewhere in the world will go blind every five seconds. The aim of the WHO (World Health Organisation) and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness to change this by 2020 via the Right to Sight campaign.
Your business can help publicise the Right to Sight campaign via your promotional branding. Putting a Right to Sight message, together with your company details, on sunglass straps is a cheap and effective way of getting a message across. As an alternative why not brand lens cloth holder key tags or lens cloths?
